On February 26, 2019, the UB Library received a visit from the University of Cenderawasih (UNCEN) Public Administration Master Program, Jayapura. The group from UNCEN numbered 35 people consisting of 32 students and 3 lecturers.
This UNCEN Student Visit to the UB Library is a series of events for the UNCEN Public Administration Masters Academic Visit held between February 25 – March 2, 2019. This academic visit is in order to enrich insights and add to the academic experience for students. In addition, the UNCEN MAP students also get the experience of the learning process and the use of libraries on the MAP UB campus.
The group of UNCEN MAP students was received by the Field Coordinators, among others, among others Agung Suprapto, S.Sos., MA (Field Coordinator of User Services), Dra. Widia Permana, S.Sos., MAB (Field Coordinator of Technical Services), Suprihatin, S.IP, M.A (Field Coordinator of Development and Cooperation) and Pitoyo Widhi Atmoko., M.Sc (Field Coordinator of Information Technology). Guests are welcomed in the 1st Floor Multimedia Room of the Brawijaya University Library.
In order to maximize the UNCEN MAP students’ experience of learning and utilization of the UB Library, after the sharing and questioning session a library tour and short training on e-journal (information literacy) were held. The guide of the library tour is Mr. Agung Suprapto, S.Sos., MA (Field Coordinator of User Services) and Mrs. Suprihatin, S.IP, MA (Field Coordinator of Development and Cooperation), they invite UNCEN students to see every room in UB Library and try existing services.
While for information literacy guided by Dra. Widia Permana, S.Sos., MAB (Field Coordinator of Technical Service) in the Multimedia Room. The ability to search e-journals is very important for master students. In preparing the thesis and dissertation they are required to use references from international journals.
