University of Brawijaya (UB) Malang now would be repairmen. Start from last September 2013 many schedule is would be too. On Monday – Friday, hour service opened since 06.00-22.00 WIB. For Friday, a break time is start from 11.00-13.00 WIB so then opened on Friday is 06.00-11.00 WIB and 13.00-22.00 WIB. On Saturday, hour service is opened at 08.00-20.00 WIB. But on Sunday is opened from 09.00-17.00 WIB. ‘’ we will want service a student, lecture, and visitor so optimal. ‘ clearly by service coordinator,’ Hermintatik.
This repairmen, said Hermin, its mean to change view point of employee and users about library. Her opinion, the library need to be seen as the heart of college. With thing about that, so the employee has to change of their view point, not only be a librarian ‘book storage’ or place of borrowing book transaction and giving an mulct of punishment about return back. But so far, the librarian side would they inspirit to be librarian as heart of college organizer.
‘’Likewise, the student and the lecture please don’t just be people of book reader if only get an academic assignment. ‘’ Hermin said. Student and lecture is ‘learning society’ are aware that reading is a necessity throughout life. ‘’The changed of view point would be did then a librarian really functional as heart of college. Librarian too have strategic role as information center and reference of science. Along with UB dynamic, like the open of faculty and new program study, UB library Malang keep trying to complete their collection about general collection.
For improving collection from science, the first library cooperation with any institute like Sampoerna Foundation. In near time too will cooperation with National Jakarta library. Any cooperation was did to faster UB realization be world class entrepreneurial university and e-research university.
